What to say that the other blogs aren’t already saying? It’s downright ridiculous that John McCain thinks he can suspend the presidential campaign and save his skin.
Mother’s don’t suspend motherhood because they have a job-issue to take care of, teacher’s don’t decide to not go to class on a Tuesday because there’s something else that needs their attention, Presidents don’t get to decide that there’s something more pressing on the table that they’d like to do.
At the end of the day, this is another desperate gambit by the McCain campaign to change the narrative, when the narrative gets rough on them. The debates must go on, the campaigns can’t go tromping onto the Hill, breaking up the discourse that’s already been in progress for days.
Arg. John McCain makes me so very mad. Not to mention Sarah Palin telling Katie Couric, “If we don’t do something about this, we’re heading down the road of another Great Depression.”
The woman doesn’t know anything about anything.
