Salon proposes ten possible Obama Supreme Court appointees, per a discussion with some scholars of constitutional law.
I think my personal favorite on the list would be Elena Kagan, without knowing a whole lot about her and knowing a lot more about some of the others. A lot of the commenters suggest Larry Tribe, who is also a friend of Obama’s, but agree that at nearly 70 he may be too old. The general consensus among liberals (at least those who aren’t foaming at the mouth still over Joe Lieberman) seems to center on two points: make the picks young and make them smart.
John Kyl threatens a filibuster of any nominee who is “too liberal”. Bah! Like anyone cares.
